Modern Eyez is proud to offer exciting new technology, the Optomap! With this new instrumentation, the inside of your eye is mapped out using sophisticated laser light technology. A digital image is generated, allowing complete examination of the health of the retina, all without dilating drops for most people.
Early detection of diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal detachments, and numerous other disorders is facilitated by this new technology. As an added bonus, your maps can be emailed to other doctors for consultations, and we can compare your images from year to year to monitor for changes.
Insurance does not yet cover this technology in most cases. However, we charge only a nominal fee of $39.00 for this state of the art technology.
